According to a statement released by the college, Mohamed Aqil bin Azmi and Zad Chin Qi Qi will be part of the undergraduate class of 2024.
Shah Alam native Aqil plans to major in Mathematics and Philosophy, while Ipoh lass Chin plans to major in Computer Science and Social Studies.
Both students are currently pursuing their A-Level studies at Kolej Yayasan UEM in Lembah Beringin.
The college said in a statement that Aqil and Chin will begin their undergraduate studies once Harvard reopens for the new academic year, with full scholarship from Pemodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) and Yayasan Khazanah respectively.
Established in 1636, Harvard is arguably one of the most prestigious universities in the world - and arguably one of the hardest universities to enrol into.
There were a total of 40,248 applicants to the Class of 2024, but only 1,980 students were admitted.
From that number, only 10.8 per cent were international students, so both Aqil and Chin are members of a very select group.
In fact, the last time a Malaysian student managed to enrol in Harvard College was back in 2017.
Congratulations, you two! We are extremely proud of you guys!
