Good news for those traveling to the United Kingdom (UK), including Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland; you no longer have to go through the usual 14-day quarantine period.
The UK government, on 11 August, added Malaysia and Brunei to a list of countries that are exempted from having to go through the quarantine process upon entry, which became a requirement due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
British High Commissioner to Malaysia Charles Hay shared the news on his Twitter page, saying that the move would be especially beneficial to students studying in UK.
According to the UK government's website, there are exemptions to this too.
If you transit in countries that arent't on the list but no new passengers got on at the transit point, no one on-board got off and mixed with others and if passengers got off but didn't get back on, you won't have to self-quarantine when you arrive in the UK.

This applies to all mode of transportation including, flights, busses, trains and others.
Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein also Tweeted about the new development, saying that it "signifies the strong & friendly bilateral relations between both countries,".
The list is constantly updated, so please check if Malaysia is still in it before you travel if you're traveling at a later date.
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, refrain from traveling until you are 100 percent sure you're healthy enough to be making the journey.

Doesn't apply if transiting
But here's the bad news: if you're transiting to countries that are not in the exemption list, however, you will still have to go through the quarantine process.According to the UK government's website, there are exemptions to this too.

The ?? UK's decision to include Malaysia in their Safe Travel Corridors list signifies the strong & friendly bilateral relations between both countries.
