Looks like things are falling into place for determined Sabahan student Veveonah Mosibin.

The tenacious lass shot to fame recently after posting a video blog of how she climbed a tree to get stable internet connection to sit for several online exams.



Now, the university that she's studying at has offered to extend a full scholarship to her so that she could continue her bachelor’s degree.

Veveonah is currently persuing her Foundation in Science at the University Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

A deserving offer

UMS Vica-Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Taufiq Yap Yun Hin said that the university had agreed to offer her the full scholarship if she decides to continue with them.

"UMS is pleased to offer Veveonah Mosibin who is currently completing her undergraduate studies at UMS a scholarship to study her degree with us," he wrote on a post on his Facebook page.


The VC added that Veveonah was a smart and proactive student.

"We hope that Veveonah will excel in her education. Congratulations!" he added.

On top of the scholarship, according to a report by TV1, Veveonah also received monetary aid and other items from Yayasan Nur Jauhar.

The aid was handed to her and her family by the wife of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah, Toh Puan Norlidah R.M. Jasni, who is also the foundation’s advisor at the Istana Negeri in Kota Kinabalu.
