[UPDATED] FOUR More Shopping Malls In Klang Valley Record New COVID-19 Cases

Malaysians are on the edge right now as COVID-19 cases surge to an all-time high of 432 cases on Monday (5 October).
The virus has crept back into our society, so much so that a couple of shopping malls in the Klang Valley have recorded new cases.
Recently, four more malls in the Klang Valley put out a statement confirming that one of their tenants have tested positive for COVID-19.

#1 Aeon Bukit Tinggi

If you've been to the gym recently, it's best to get yourself tested. Aeon Bukit Tinggi, Klang is the latest mall to record one new COVID-19 case. According to The Star, a member from Fitness First gymansium located in the shopping mall has tested positive for COVID-19. The member last visited the outlet on 6 October from 3.13pm to 4.40pm. The gym has been closed for sanitisation until further notice.

#2 Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens

Have you been to Origani recently?The virus is spreading like wildfire. Three stores in Mid Valley and The Gardens have been ordered to be closed after an employee of London Sales Cosmetics Sdn Bhd (LSC) tested positive for the virus on 10 October. The affected shops were Origani and Élévatione Time Stops in The Gardens and Surreal by Élévatione Time Stops in Mid Valley.
All three stores are currently undergoing contact tracing and sanitisation efforts. The mall's management has also taken the initiative to disinfect all common areas in both malls.

#3 Bangsar Shopping Centre

The Origani store is located on the ground floor of the mall. It seems like Origani at The Gardens Mall is not the only store affected as another Origani outlet at Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC) has been closed after a staff tested positive for COVID-19. The staff was last present at the premises on 6 October and did not exhibit any symptoms. The mall's management says that the outlet has ordered all of its staff to undergo testing. Intensive sanitisation took place at the mall on Sunday (11 October).

#4 3 Damansara

Stay safe, guys. The mall formerly known as Tropicana City Mall recently reported that a security personnel stationed at the mall’s fire command centre had tested positive for COVID-19 on 11 October. The staff in question did not come to work since 9 October after a housemate tested positive. The mall's management reported that the security personnel's close contacts have all tested negative and are ordered to undergo 14-day quarantine.

#5 1Utama

Four cases were recorded at 1Utama. The popular mall has been ordered to shut down by the Selangor government for a week after four cases were recorded on its premise which includes a customer. Earlier this month, the mall confirmed that a service centre staff from Mac City Service Centre has tested positive on 4 October.
Another case was reported on 8 October after a staff working at Parkson Elite tested positive too.
Mass testing being carried out by the mall. The mall has provided mass screening for its tenants and staff at the shopping mall's parking lot and will be fully borne by the mall's management. About 800 people are expected to undergo screening.

#6 Paradigm Mall

Not too far from 1 Utama, another case was reported at Paradigm Mall involving a staff member under Padini Holdings. The staff in question worked at the Brands Outlet and had a history of travelling to Sabah.
The staff came to work on 2 October and was confirmed positive on 5 October.
The outlet has been closed for sanitization and the company is currently performing contact tracing.

#7 NU Sentral

The mall jumped into action.
The NU Sentral mall -- located near arguably one of the busiest landmarks in the city, KL Sentral -- is the latest shopping mall to report a confirmed COVID-19 case.
According to New Straits Times, one of the employees of the shopping mall has tested positive for the virus on Saturday (26 September).
"The Health Ministry (MoH) has immediately conducted contact tracing and all close contacts including employees of NU Sentral's management office. They underwent COVID-19 testing on Sept 26 and their first Covid-19 test results of the employees are all negative.
"Nevertheless, all employees are required to self-quarantined for 14 days and they will be working remotely, but can be contacted as usual," the mall said in a statement quoted by NST.

#8 Sunway Pyramid

On the same day, an employee of the Nike outlet in Sunway Pyramid, also tested positive for the virus.
According to The Star Online, the employee had a history of travel, and promptly informed the mall about his test result.
We would like to assure all tenants, vendors and customers that the case is an isolated case, and has been attended to immediately upon identification, together with the affected tenant in full compliance with the Health Ministry's guidelines, ” the mall said in a Facebook post on Saturday (26 September).

#9 Suria KLCC

The fitness center has thoroughly cleaned the premises.
A member of Babel Fit, who tested positive for the virus on 23 September, visited Suria KLCC on the same day, the mall has confirmed in a Facebook post.
According to the mall's management, staff and members of Babel who had close contact with the affected member have undergone COVID-19 test, and they tested negative on 24 September.
"Immediately upon confirmation of the case, thorough sanitisation and disinfection exercise was carried out at Babel and its surrounding area," the mall said in a post.

#10 The Linc KL

The mall has been sanitised.
On 24 September, The Linc KL confirmed via an Instagram post that a parent of a student studying at Trinity Kids has tested positive for the virus.
"The Linc Development wishes to inform that a parent of a child at Trinity Kids, The Linc KL branch has just been tested COVID-19 positive," reads the statement.
"The said child was on a half-day program until noon and last attended school on Thursday, 17 September," the post read.
The mall also confirmed that all teachers at Trinity Kids, who are possibly second-generation contacts of the said parent, had tested negative.
It's now more important than ever to stay safe, guys.
If you have nothing to buy or errands to run, please avoid going to a shopping mall and stay at home, OK?
