By now, we know just how baller Malaysian fugitive Jho Low is when it comes to throwing lavish parties.
However, we did not know just how much he splurge on these parties...until now!
Party like there's no tomorrow
A court in Brooklyn, New York heard that the 40-year-old financier splurged millions of dollars he allegedly siphoned off the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) fund on celebrity fees and alcohol.According to a report by Bloomberg, former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. banker Roger Ng revealed the stunning details of Low's spendings at his federal conspiracy trial on Tuesday (15 February).
Ng is accused of conspiring with former Goldman banker Tim Leissner to help Low steal the funds in exchange for kickbacks.
The members of the jury were presented with invoices from a Las Vegas party for Low in which food, beverages, "talent" and "top quality models" added up to more than USD3.6 million (RM15 million).
Low also reportedly spent USD100,000 (RM418,000) on 65 bottles of Cristal Champagne, plus a very generous tip of USD38,955 (RM163,026).
Boy, that's a lot of money.

According to the documents, the 47-year-old actor was paid USD150,000 (RM627,000) for attending the party and a dinner, as well as "private gambling activities".
