Imagine driving home late one night and as you pass through a road you've passed through a million times, you see a group of spirits standing by the side of the road.
Sounds pretty scary, right?
You can say that to one Twitter user who stumbled upon such spooky incident one night.

Real ghost, or fake ghost?

A video clip showing a row of people in white standing by the roadside with their backs facing the tarmac has been spreading like wildfire on social media.
The one-second video was uploaded onto Twitter by @Pishtolz and has since racked up more than one million views.

“Anyone has any idea what’s going on here?” asked @Pishtolz in his Twitter post.
Because we Malaysians love our hantu stories, netizens began to offer their theories:

While we would love them to be real 'roadside spirits' looking for their next victim, a college student named Aina Masturina Azri later came forward to explain the real story behind the video.
As it turns out, it was just a photoshoot for her photo communications project, and she has selected supernatural as her theme.

"During the shoot, there were motorists who gawked at us but we never had any intention to scare people.
“We did a survey beforehand and chose a place that was well-lit and cars didn’t travel so fast,” Aina told mStar.

She also told the Malay daily that everyone on set took extra steps to avoid “disturbing” any spirits during their photoshoot.
Alhamdulillah, nothing happened. We kept looking out for each other and were careful of the things we said.
“What people saw as shadows are actually rocks. Maybe because of the lighting, it looks a bit strange,” she explained.
There you have it, guys!
