Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's Vision 2020 may be delayed by a few years.

According to the prime minister who first introduced this ideal in 1991, the vision would possibly be achieved by 2025 or earlier.

He found that the policies that were implemented in recent years were not in line with the aspirations of Vision 2020.

"Even if we work extremely hard day and night, I don't think we can achieve it in 2020," he said, as reported by Bernama.

We now have seven more years to go.
However, Malaysia may be able to become a developed high-income nation if the right policies are put in place.

This vision basically aims to make Malaysia a self-sufficient industrialised nation by the year 2020, encompassing all aspects of life, such as economic prosperity, social well-being, educational worldclass, political stability, and psychological balance.

2025 is not too far away, do you think we can achieve all this by then?
