We Checked Out KedaiFGV.com, a New Online Platform Launched by the Govt For Local Products
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim launched KedaiFGV.com by FGV Holdings Bhd. But you may be wondering what it is for and what it is about. Here’s our breakdown:
What is KedaiFGV.com?

The online platform aims to deliver high-quality local products to Malaysians. According to Bernama, it is part of FGV’s commitment to ensuring a stable supply of high-quality and nutritious products at affordable prices for the nation. FGV Group’s CEO, Datuk Nazrul Mansor, said the online platform is poised to become a significant force in Malaysia’s food security landscape.
What is FGV Holdings Berhad?
FGV is a publicly traded government-owned investment company. Formerly known as Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad, it is a Malaysian-based global agribusiness and food company and an affiliate of the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA).
Additionally, it is the third-largest palm oil company in the world by planted acreage. Interestingly, back in 2020, the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a withhold release after it was alleged that FGV had used forced labour. This followed a year-long investigation which revealed forced labour indicators, including the withholding of wages, debt bondage, and excessive overtime.
Earlier this month, FMT reported that FGV aims to be removed from the list with a reimbursement drive for its workers.
What items are sold?
The site offers a comprehensive selection of trusted FGV food brands, including Saji, Adela, Seri Pelangi, Gula Prai, Ladang’ 57, and Bright Cow. The items sold include sugar, fruit juice, sauces, milk, and even fire extinguishers.
Various agricultural products, such as fertiliser mats and fertiliser, are also available. Items like goat and cattle feed are also available, aimed at nourishing those who own livestock with top-quality feed for healthier animals.
There are also specially curated food baskets and bundles at special promotional prices for additional savings.
What are the shipping charges like?
We tested the website for ourselves (although we didn’t place an order), and it seems easy enough to use. There is also currently a promotion for free shipping for purchases over RM30 for the first 50 orders nationwide.

We purchased three items: milk (200ml x 6), chilli sauce (340g), and mayonnaise (230ml). The shipping fee was RM7, which is reasonable. There are also various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, FPX, Touch ‘n Go, and DuitNow.
You can read more about their delivery charges here.

They also have a Shopee page for those who like to make purchases and collect coins.
They promise next-day delivery (T&C applies). They also take corporate orders, which are customisable according to your budget.
What do you think of the online platform? Will you be placing any orders?
