The Health director-general has become sort of like a hero for all Malaysians, thanks to his dedication and contribution to the country during these tough times.

Naturally, the good doctor deserves all the recognition in the world, don't you guys think?

A well-deserved recognition

Last Friday (3 July), Dr Noor Hisham announced that he has been awarded the 2019 Most Notable Alumni award by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's (UKM) Medical Faculty.

The award was announced in conjunction with the faculty’s Sanjungan Kencana Award 2020 in UKM on 3 July.

Taking to his official Facebook page, the 57-year-old thanked UKM, particularly the university’s medical faculty, for the honour.

"This award is a recognition to the commitment and dedication of all lecturers in the UKM Medical Faculty and it is a manifestation of health personnel excellence, wherever they are.

"They are special human beings who are committed, productive, innovative and always striving to provide the best service to the people beyond expectation,” he said in a Facebook post.

Always the humble doctor, Dr Noor Hisham also paid tribute to all the frontliners who are still in the health service, and those who have retired.

"They are always carrying out their duties to uplift the health service delivery quality, with dedication and integrity,” he wrote.
