Welsh Football Club To Wear 'Malaysia Berjaya' Slogan In Front Of Their Jerseys Next Season
They say wear your patriotism for your country on your sleeve.
But an English football club is set to wear the patriotism for our country on the front of their jerseys.

For the love of Malaysia

According to New Straits Times, the Cardiff City football team is set to replace the 'Visit Malaysia' slogan on the front of their new jerseys for the 2020-2021 Championship season, which begins next month.
The slogan will be replaced with 'Malaysia Berjaya' instead.
If you're wondering how that's possible, that's because the football team is owned by none other than Malaysian tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan.
Putting Malaysia on the map. Tan, who took over ownership of the club in May 2020, is also the founder of one of Malaysia's largest conglomerates, Berjaya Group.
So, the new 'Malaysia Berjaya' slogan is a great marketing win-win for the country and his company, if you think about it.
Despite the change in slogan, the 68-year-old told the daily that his goal remains the same - which is to position Malaysia as an attractive tourist destination.
"As I said before, I am a patriot and Malaysia will always be a priority for me.
"I am always open to ideas and collaboration with the Malaysian government to promote the country," he was quoted as saying.
Check out the slogan next season. According to Tan, Cardiff City received a sponsorship of around RM15 million from the Tourism Ministry for the 2013/2014 season to display 'Visit Malaysia' on the front of their jerseys.
Despite admitting that sponsorships for the front of the jerseys are very lucrative, Tan told the daily that he would only reserve it for Malaysia.
"The front of the (Cardiff) jersey is very exclusive. Would-be sponsors understand and appreciate the exposure and mileage gained from advertising their products on the front of the jersey.
"But because of my love for my country, I have always reserved that exclusive spot for Malaysia," he was further quoted as saying.
So, if you want to rep your country, the new Cardiff City jersey will be unveiled next week, and the team will begin the new season against Sheffield Wednesday on 12 September.
