Keep moving.“WHO urges everyone to continue to stay active through the COVID-19 pandemic.

“If we do not remain active, we run the risk of creating another pandemic of ill-health as a result of sedentary behaviour,” said WHO’s head of health promotion Ruediger Krech, as reported by AFP.

Exercise to avoid death

Statistically, WHO estimates that by pushing more people to exercise, more than five million deaths can be avoided annually.

“Being physically active is critical for health and well-being — it can help to add years to life, and life to years.

“Every move counts,” said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a statement as quoted in the AFP report.
Live a healthy life.WHO recommend that adults get at least two-and-a-half to five hours of moderate to vigorous aerobic activity per week, while children and adolescents should on average move at least an hour a day.

So guys, get off the couch and start moving!
