Woman Fractures Toes In Yet Another Escalator Incident In Subang Jaya
Brand new day, brand new escalator incident.
This time, a woman suffered fractures on her toes when her foot was caught in an escalator at a Subang Jaya shopping mall.
According to a report by The Star Online, the incident happened at around 4pm on Wednesday when the 38-year-old woman was riding the escalator between the lower ground and the basement floor of the mall.
A representative from the mall told the news portal that the woman was distracted while she was on the escalator.
The rep added that a team of rescue personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department was called to the scene and paramedics gave first aid treatment to the woman before sending her to the Sunway Medical Center.
"The shopper has received hospital treatment for a bone fracture," the representative was quoted as saying.

This was the second such case in less than a week.
On Monday, a woman suffered a nasty gash on her calf after an object reportedly pierced her right leg as she was riding an escalator at the Sunway Pyramid shopping center.
So everyone, please be extra careful when you're on the escalator.
