Woman Shares How Her Mother Lost Her Memory After Giving Birth to 18 Children
Following the viral case of a disabled man who was beaten by a crowd in Terengganu, a woman decided to share her story on how patience is required when dealing with disabled individuals.
The woman, known as Afiqah Nasuha, 29, took to TikTok to share her experience with her mother who is a disabled person.

According to Afiqah, her mother began to lose her memory after experiencing complications known as amniotic fluid embolism while giving birth to her 18th child in 2010.
“To be honest, only those who sincerely care can be patient while looking after such special people like this. They won't easily hit them even when their life is at stake,” she shared.
Afiqah is the 7th child out of 14th siblings who are still alive

Further sharing about her family, Afiqah revealed that throughout her mother's 18 pregnancies, three of them ended up in miscarriage while the 18th baby died soon after birth.
Afiqah also shared how her mother's heart stopped beating for 10 minutes during her last childbirth, thus, affecting her brain.
Despite the hardship in caring for her mother, Afiqah said she's grateful that her father stayed by her side every step of the way.

Her father, Ibrahim Abdullah, 72, owned a hardware shop and is currently taking care of her mother with the help of Afiqah's youngest sibling who is 17 years old.
She explained, “My dad never once hit my mother. He's always calm even though my mom would have her tantrums. He treats her just like she was before all this.”
As for her mother's condition now, Afiqah shared that although her mother is well, her mood can be unpredictable and she cannot take care of herself.
Unfortunately, her mother can only remember her children for a brief moment before forgetting again. She also forgets that she was married and often says that she is still single.
