Wonder Why Super Ring Was Trending On Twitter? We Have The Answer
The biggest story on Tuesday (29 July) was definitely the conviction of former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
From the verdict itself to outrage over supporters who ignored the threat of COVID-19 and left rubbish in their wake, Twitter was abuzz with news of the case.
Weirdly, another topic also started trending on social media in Malaysia - Super Ring.
Our first reaction to that was heh? Then it dawned on us...
Super Ring manufacturers must be happy

Influencers, who?
Forget influencers. Brands should start hiring our politicians if they want to promote their products.About two months ago, Najib posted a picture of him eating Super Ring with the caption: "Dengar kata ada orang dipecat? (I heard someone got fired?)"
Since the post was made soon after Bersatu sacked it's former president Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, it was pretty clear who the post was directed at.
Who knew the cheeky post will backfire so soon, right?
Malaysians, being the trolls they are (we say this with utmost respect and pride), decided to use the same snack to taunt Najib after his conviction on Tuesday.
I have a Najib joke, but I’m busy eating super ring now.#SRC— Dharshinee Suresh Kumar ™ (@ayeitsdharsh) July 28, 2020
