But of all the good and clever bois out there, this is the cleverest boi of all.

A doggo in Texas recently let himself into the Odessa Police Department and hopped up onto the counter to ‘report himself missing’.

Went back to his family

According to a report by Ladbible, the doggo, realising that her had been separated from his owners, was eager to let the police officers give him a helping hand.

The report said that the dog, named Chiho, was welcomed by Sergeant Rusty Martin.

Martin told the website that the officers kept him entertained by throwing a tennis ball in the lobby repeatedly.

“Everyone loved on him,” he said.

The police department also shared Chico’s photo on their Facebook page:

“We’re thinking he wanted to apply for a K-9 position after eliminating a Lassie type situation,” they wrote.

However, just as they were about to get around to solving his case, Chico disappeared!

“Chico was given lots of love and attention until he decided it was time for him leave. He let himself out and after an exhausting search was not found. We were relieved to learn he safely returned to his owner,” wrote the police.

Yes, as you would have guessed, Chico went back to his family!

This was confirmed when his owner contacted the police station the next day after seeing their Facebook post, confirming it was his dog and he had returned home safely.
