Oh, you thought the weather couldn't get any hotter? Hold our (root) beer.

A weather pattern change is expected to happen later this week - and with it comes very, very dry days.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department told The Star Online that the change in weather patterns would put a halt to the recent downpour as the wind is expected to come from south-west, which means that weather could be drier.

Currently, the heavy rainfall was caused by the north-westerly winds coming from the Indian Ocean, which, according to Met Department director-general Alui Bahari, also brought along high humidity to the country.

Alui added that Malaysia is currently experiencing the south-west monsoon, which is expected to last until September, and the weather is expected to be drier due to lesser rainfall during that period of time.

But the good news is (if you want to call it that), Malaysia won't turn into the Sahara desert as the weather in tropical areas is influenced by wind factors too, Alui told the news portal.

So, if we're lucky, we would get a little rainfall at night, preferably during bedtime.
