The case of Zara Qairina Mahathir is currently dominating online conversations. While many Malaysians are demanding justice for her death, the case has also attracted attention from people overseas.
In a video posted on TikTok, Thai netizens were seen standing in solidarity with the late 13-year-old. They held a banner featuring Zara’s face with the words “Justice for Zara.”

Some clips show individuals covering their eyes, mouths, and ears with banknotes believed to symbolise allegations that certain parties are being paid to cover up the case. While this remains speculative, the symbolism has sparked conversations among local netizens.

These videos have since caught the attention of Malaysians, many of whom have expressed gratitude in the comments, thanking their Thai neighbours for their support.
The comment sections have also seen participation from netizens in Brunei and Indonesia, who have similarly shown solidarity with the case.
Meanwhile, one of the most recent updates in Zara’s case is that police have confirmed elements of bullying were involved. Authorities have also urged the public to refrain from spreading false information that could interfere with the investigation.
