If you’re a frequent traveller, you would know that the only thing more annoying than changing SIM cards at the airport is buying one for cheap.

Tourist SIM cards can be pretty expensive, and they always come with hidden T&Cs (in a foreign language, no less) that usually doesn’t give you your money’s worth.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if we have just one SIM card that gives us free internet roaming for multiple countries?

Well, your wish is DIGI’s command, as they have just introduced their new Roaming Pass.

That’s right: the local telecommunication company has just unveiled a new SIM card that comes with free internet roaming for as low as RM10!

Roam and surf all you want

So, what is this Roaming Pass? Well, it is technically the same as your usual tourist SIM card, but instead of buying it at the airport, you just need to activate it using the DIGI app.

Think of it like a day pass: just activate it and get free internet roaming the moment you land at your destination.

The best part about this is, you get to keep your own number and stay connected no matter which country you decide to visit.

Oh, the Roaming Pass is available for all DIGI Prepaid and Postpaid customers.

Different options for different people

Are you the type of traveller who only uses data for navigation, or to occasionally text your family and friends? Or you are the type who requires a lot of data to upload all ‘em pretty pictures on your Facebook and Instagram?

Fret not; DIGI has different Roaming Passes for all your needs.

There are three different Roaming Passes you can select from: a One-Day Social Pass, a One-Day Pass and a Three-Day Pass.

Depending on your mobile plan, you can pick the Roaming Pass that suits your travelling needs, and the pass starts from as low as RM10 for a one-day, touch-and-go trip.

A one-day pass, meanwhile, is priced at RM15 and comes with 500MB and 10 minutes’ worth of voice call. The three-day pass costs RM25, with up to 4GB internet and 60 minutes voice call.

To make things easier for you guys, here’s a breakdown of the Roaming Passes:

With just one click…

…you can activate your Roaming Pass. Yep, it’s just that easy.

If you’re a DIGI Prepaid user, you do not even have to turn on international roaming; all you need to do is to ensure that your prepaid plan is active, and select the Roaming Pass you want and voila, you can now stay connected in the remotest corner of Earth.

And if you’re a DIGI Postpaid user, it’s even simpler: all you need to do is launch your MyDigi app and activate the Roaming Pass of your choice, and you’re done.

See, so easy, right? Now, you don’t need to worry about spending a bomb on tourist SIM cards at the airport.
