If you’ve been around Kuala Lumpur city center, chances are you would’ve probably come across this cute little turquoise-coloured dog with his tongue sticking out graffiti.
The dog actually has a name, Chaigo, and he’s the brainchild of local street artist Kenji Chai.
You may have spotted this dog around. Born and bred in Sandakan, Sabah, Kenji was into arts since he was just a little kid.
He was always into cartoons and comic books, so it’s no surprise that when he grew up, all he wanted to do was to dabble in the arts scene.
So, he quit his full-time job as a graphic designer and did what he’s always dreamt of doing: he became a graffiti artist.
Dare to go after his dreams. That was a long time ago, and the 38-year-old is now a sought-after graffiti artist, illustrator and a toy designer, having collaborated with many big brands.
Now, you can catch some of his cute and vibrant graffiti, usually featuring characters with a touch of pop culture element, all around Kuala Lumpur.

Kenji’s latest masterpiece

Check out Kenji's masterpiece. And now, Kenji has found his greatest canvas yet: a Mitsubishi Triton.
For his next masterpiece, Kenji will be turning the compact pick-up truck into a work of art, and he’s chosen the cheetah as his muse.
“I chose the cheetah because it’s similar to the Triton; creating their own path, unique, adventurous, powerful and strong,” Kenji said.
Both the cheetah and the Triton are able to adapt and overcome challenges placed in front of them, so painting a cheetah on a Triton is, of course, a no-brainer for Kenji.
But why the Triton though?
According to Kenji, the Triton “brings me places, artistically and personally” and somehow, it inspires him to chase after his dreams.
“We’re driven by ambition and will overcome any obstacle ahead of us.”
Sounds like a pretty interesting project, right?
Well, lucky for you, you can watch Kenji at work in a two-part short documentary called ‘Be Unconventionally Cool! By Mitsubishi Triton’.
The short series will showcase Kenji’s artwork and creativity by using the Mitsubishi Triton as his canvas, as he drives around town in the Triton to search for inspiration.

Episode 2:

If you need more reasons to own the Mitsubishi Triton, here they are:
1) Award-winning engine The Mitsubishi Triton is powered by a 2.4L MIVEC Turbo Diesel Engine, the first aluminium engine in a pickup truck.
It also comes with a 6-speed automatic/manual transmission, and depends on the model (Adventure X, A/T Premium, and A/T), you’ll also get a Sport Mode (aka Cheetah mode, that’s what we call it).
2) Advanced safety features While it is definitely powerful, the Mitsubishi Triton is also really safe. It is equipped with a slew of safety suites, such as the Forward Collision Mitigation feature (it automatically detects vehicles or pedestrians in front of you and automatically applies the brakes to avoid collision), Ultrasonic Missacceleration Mitigation System (a system that reduces the chance of the driver hitting obstacles front and back if they accidentally stepped on the accelerator) and Blind Spot Warning With Lane Change Assist (it detects an approaching vehicle and warns you).
It also has a ASEAN NCAP 5-Star security rating and seven SRS airbags.
3) Best warranty in town Wear and tear? What’s that? Mitsubishi Malaysia offers the best warranty deals for their vehicles. The Mitsubishi Triton has a warranty period of 200,000km or five years, so you don’t really have to worry about maintenance.
4) Trusted and reliable mechanics at your service Don’t worry, you can have a peace of mind when you drop your Mitsubishi Triton off for a service. That’s because according to the J.D. Power 2019 Malaysia Customer Service Index (CSI) Mass Market Study, Mitsubishi Malaysia is ranked number one in overall satisfaction with a score of 791, the second year in a row they’ve occupied the top spot.
In the same survey, Mitsubishi is ranked in the top two when it comes to sales service. You’re in great hands when you get a Mitsubishi Triton.
The Mitsubishi Triton is priced from RM100,200* without insurance, so that’s a pretty great deal if you ask us.
