Starbucks Is Moving Into A New Magical Direction After Introducing Its Unicorn Frappuccino
We’ve heard a lot of stories about the rainbow-coloured food trend. There’s rainbow bagels, pudding, macarons, and even our local pisang goreng. Heck, we’ve even made a list out of it! You can read it here.
And it looks like the trend isn’t slowing down or dying anytime soon.
Starbucks recently decided to jump on the bandwagon and introduced the first Unicorn Frappuccino® blended beverage. No guys, this isn’t a post-April Fool’s joke. It’s as real as your belief in unicorns.

“The Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème is made with a sweet dusting of pink powder, blended into a crème Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a pleasantly sour blue drizzle. It is finished with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping,” according to Starbucks in a statement.
We admit that this drink does look Instagram-worthy but that’s not only the best part, the drink actually changes colour!A post shared by YANA • NYC (@missyanacherie) on
“Give it a stir and its color changes to pink, and the flavor evolves to tangy and tart. The more swirl, the more the beverage’s color and flavors transform.”
Wow, it’s like conducting your own edible science experiment. Or even better, you can pretend to be a wizard who’ve just invented a magical potion. Now we’re really curious to see if it does actually changes colour and if the taste is weird or *magical*.

Well, there’s only one way to solve this problem. Let’s start a petition or bombard Starbucks Malaysia’s wall to get them to bring this elusive drink to Malaysia!
As members of the unicorn lovers club, we demand the equal rights to enjoy the Unicorn Frappuccino as a once in a lifetime spellbinding experience.
