But it all changed when the world was introduced to Toothless from ‘HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON’. The movie first made its way onto the silver screen in 2010 and it has since become one of the top grossing animated film series ever.

Who knew that a black, toothless dragon of the Night Fury species would captivate the hearts of millions of children and adults alike by being so innocent and adorable.

The movie had a sequel in 2014 and this year marks the return of Team Toothless-Hiccup for the third time.

‘HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD’ is set to meet dragon-lovers across the world and galaxy at the end of this month on 31 January 2019.

#1 Toothless Has A New Girlfriend

Toothless has finally found his match. And we’re not talking about an enemy or foe that could match Toothless’ ability and powers but rather, another dragon that compliments him in every way and matches his look and energy!

Light Fury, a white toothless dragon meets Toothless by accident and leads to one of the greatest discovery in dragon world. However, we have a feeling that the Light Fury has some extra baggage with her that could threaten Toothless and Hiccup.

#2 Kit Harrington’s Super Cute ‘Long-Lost’ Audition Tape

Have you seen the hilarious yet cute audition tape starring Kit Harrington and Toothless that’ll just melt your heart? Priceless! Harrington, who currently plays Eret in the trilogy, appears to be auditioning for an “untitled fantasy TV drama” in 2010 alongside some “big Hollywood star”.

He gets the shock of his life when he finds out that it’s actually Toothless. The audition tape got us all excited and counting down the days until we can see Toothless’ new antics.

#3 This Could Be Hiccup's Last Hurrah

In the threequel, Hiccup is now chief of Berk where dragons and humans prosper and live together in harmony. All is well until Grimmel the Grisly shows up one day demanding Hiccup to hand over Toothless to him. Grimmel hates all form of human-dragon relationships and wishes that dragons would go extinct.

In a quest to find Toothless and the Light Fury, who might be in danger, Hiccup may have to end things – including his life - to ensure his beloved dragon continues to survive.

This particular scene from the trailer, potentially foreshadowing Hiccup’s final moments, is too much for us to handle.

#4 New World, New Dragons

Just when we thought we’ve seen it all, boom – a new magical, illuminating world filled with all sorts of dragons you could ever imagine appears. And speaking of new dragons, we’re really curious to know what Light Fury is capable of doing.

We now know that she has the ability to make herself disappear or become invisible, so who knows other mystical powers she holds.

#5 This Is The Last Movie In The ‘HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON’ Universe

Saying goodbye sucks, and saying it to your favourite movie franchise is even worse. Many of you may be hoping for a fourth movie but its director Dean DeBlois has confirmed that the third movie will be the final chapter in the ‘HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON’ universe.

So, to our fellow Vikings and dragon-aficionados, there’s no reason to not watch it in cinemas when it comes out. It’s your last, proper farewell to Toothless and Hiccup.
