A few weeks ago, we saw the newest birthday cake trend where cakes in the shape of numbers decorated elegantly with berries or flowers took the internet by storm.

To be honest, we fell in love with them too, considering how something so minimal and simple could be elevated and appear classy. You can read all about 'em here.

Well these numbered cakes may have some stiff competition now after we discovered an Instagram account filled with pictures of pies. But not just any ordinary pies; they’re actually pies with some pretty cool life-like carvings of your favourite celebrity or fictional character!

An Instagram user named Jessica Clark-Bojin (@thepieous) has some mad skills and is definitely a pie maestro. Her carvings and designs of famous celebrities is seriously on point.

Just look at her creations - the resemblance is uncanny!

This is definitely a pie every 'Stranger Things' fans need!
Jessica's tribute to the late Carrie Fisher.
From Thor to Oprah, and even Princess Leia Organa, she definitely did justice to all those pies and will make you feel so sayang to cut it let alone eat it.

Jessica also takes suggestions from her fans, so just leave a comment on her Instagram on what character or celebrity you would like to see be immortalised in a form of a pie. Psst, can we suggest Harry Potter, Jessica?

Why pies instead of cakes? Well, according to her website, her mission is to "show the world that not only can pies go head-to-head against the poshest wedding cakes and fancy-pants desserts on the most discerning buffet tables of the world, but that they can be fun and easy to pull off too!"

How is it even possible to make a 3D pie?! So talented!
This version of Darth Vader actually looks cute and not intimidating!
So, if you’re looking to stand out on your next birthday, why not get a pie instead of a cake?

This pie-oneer unfortunately does not live in Malaysia or anywhere close to our country, so maybe you can ask your baker friends if they could try replicating her skills and make a birthday pie for you.

Follow Jessica's Instagram, @thepieous to find out what her next ap-pie-tising design is!
