Police are looking for the owner of a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) after a video went viral online showing two individuals sitting on top of the vehicle as it travelled along an expressway.
In a video shared on Threads, the two individuals, believed to be young girls, can be seen sitting on top of a moving Toyota Alphard. It is understood that the incident occurred along the North-South Expressway, from the Meru exit towards Jalan Jelapang-Simpang Pulai.
Based on the video's caption, the incident occurred at about 6:45 PM. It was also alleged that the Toyota Alphard was travelling at 100km/h.

Meanwhile, Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Najid Hamzah said no police report has been lodged regarding the incident.
However, police are working to locate the owner of the Toyota Alphard. They are also investigating whether the two individuals sitting on the moving vehicle were children.
“If they are indeed children, the case will be investigated under the Child Act 2001,” he said, as reported by Astro Awani.
Netizens were deeply concerned
The video has since attracted the attention of social media users. While many expressed concern over the children's safety, others criticised the adults involved, particularly the children's parents, for allowing such behaviour.
“Aren't they scared that if the driver suddenly brakes, they will be thrown forward and end up endangering other road users?”
“This is child endangerment. The sunroof shouldn't be used this way,” said another user.

“I drive an Alphard too. I'm already worried when my child asks me to open the sunroof so he can stick his head out while we're driving around our neighbourhood, let alone on an expressway. What if they fall off and end up being run over by their own car? Who are they going to blame then? The trees? The dividers? The road?”
