Last week, news of the deaths of two private university students sent shockwaves across the nation, as both died just 14 hours apart at the same high-rise residential building in Kuala Lumpur. Despite multiple similarities, police have concluded that the cases are not related.
On August 23, the funeral for one of the students was held at Nirvana Shah Alam.

Earlier reports stated that the father of the female student, He En Ni, 22, suspected his daughter had been bullied by three peers.
According to En Ni’s father, she had a disagreement with the three students during a group project. The tension allegedly led to criticism and social exclusion from the group.
Before her death, after falling from the 22nd floor of her rented condominium unit in Setapak, her father said En Ni had previously attempted suicide. The third-year Public Relations student was scheduled to graduate by the end of this year.
Three students attempted to attend En Ni’s funeral

According to a report by Sin Chew, the three students allegedly involved in the bullying requested to attend En Ni’s funeral to pay their final respects. They also wished to offer an apology to her family, but their request was denied.
Police are currently investigating the bullying claims.
The case is being investigated under Section 507B of the Penal Code, which pertains to threatening, abusive, or insulting words or actions intended to cause—or known to be likely to cause harassment, distress, fear, or alarm.
Even En Ni’s pet dog mourned her passing

Meanwhile, the sudden death of En Ni has deeply affected not only her family but also her pet dog, which reportedly hadn’t eaten or drunk anything for two days.
According to a report, the dog was seen shedding tears during the funeral. Family members were observed wiping the dog’s tears and comforting it throughout the ceremony.
