Meanwhile, Norhazwani's eldest brother, Amran Ibrahim, 59, said that while the family is coming to terms with her passing, they cannot accept the manner in which she died.
According to him, he first learned of Norhazwani's death from another brother at about 7:30 PM. At the time, Amran was at his home in Pinggiran Batu Caves, Selangor.
“My eighth brother called and told me that our brother-in-law (Norhazwani's husband) had called and confessed to murdering her."
He added, "When I heard the news, I had mixed feelings. I was shocked and in disbelief, but I was also angry. I immediately called the police station because I was told the suspect had said he planned to surrender himself.”
