Three Women in PJ Allegedly Sexually Harassed by Motorcyclist, Victim Claims It Wasn't the First Time

What was supposed to be a normal evening for three women turned into a distressing experience after they were allegedly sexually harassed by a motorcyclist, who reportedly exposed himself and made an obscene gesture.

In an Instagram post, a woman identified as Dora (@dorabierenny) shared that the incident took place at approximately 10:20 PM on 16 August in Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya.

According to Dora, the three women were chatting outside her restaurant when they were approached by a man on a motorcycle that appeared to be fitted with a delivery box. The man allegedly exposed himself and made an obscene gesture towards them.

CCTV footage shared online showed the women running away after realising what had happened. The motorcyclist also left the area shortly afterwards.

“The girls were terrified and immediately ran over to One Half to seek help. One of them was so shaken that she couldn’t stop crying," she shared.

"Because everything happened so suddenly, none of them managed to take down the motorcycle’s registration number. All they could remember was that the man was slightly plump and had a darker complexion.”

One victim claims she had encountered the same man before

Dora further revealed that the women alleged this was not the first time they had seen the same individual in the area.

Screenshots shared in the post showed one of the victims claiming that she first encountered the man in early May at the same location.

“My friend and I were sitting outside One Half when the man stopped in the alley. He exposed himself and behaved in an obscene manner."

She added, "This time, he had already exposed himself but didn't get any closer because we quickly left the area. I think he has been around and doing this for quite some time.”

“Please be extra vigilant, especially at night.”

At the end of her post, Dora said she had encouraged the women to lodge a police report regarding the incident.

She also urged members of the public to remain vigilant, particularly at night, when in the area where the incident allegedly occurred.

In addition, she reminded the public to take note of motorcycle registration numbers if they witness any similar incidents.

“While the footage may not be enough to identify the man immediately, I believe sharing this can at least give the victims a voice and serve as a public safety alert to our community," said Dora.

"No woman should have to experience this while simply spending time with friends in her own neighbourhood. Please stay safe and look out for one another.”
