Apple Fans Rejoice! M’sia’s First Official Store to Open at TRX on June 22
If you’re an Apple fan who uses everything from their iPhones, Macs, AirPods, iPads, and Apple Watch, you’ve probably bought your products from official retailers in Malaysia such as Switch and Machines. But very soon, you’ll be able to get them directly from Apple’s very first official store in Malaysia at TRX when it opens on June 22.
Apple recently released the official announcement on their website, stating, “We are getting ready to open our first Apple store in Malaysia. We can’t wait to see you. Jom!”. You can also download official wallpapers in anticipation of the opening, which looks like the actual building.

The building is rumoured to be inspired by a ‘tudung saji’ which is used to cover food, a nod to Malaysian culture.
If you visit TRX now, you can of course only see the exterior, but there have already been leaked videos of the interior:

According to X user and Apple critic @XavierNaxa, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple and Deirdre O’Brien, the Senior Vice President of Retail at Apple Inc. may make an appearance for the official opening, but take this with a pinch of salt.

Ironically, Samsung bought branding rights to the whole TRX MRT station, which means that if you arrive by train, you’ll be bombarded with Samsung ads.

What is the difference between an official store and an authorised reseller?
Rumours have been swirling about the store for years as long as eight years ago, with Apple fans highly anticipating the opening. Beyond the aesthetics, MSN reports that is an experiential centre where you can experience the products fully. Apple Store employees can also quickly recommend products with a QR code that enables visitors to share a list of devices they currently own.
You can also return products within 14 days if there are any issues, subject to terms and conditions. Additionally, the warranty claims process is also easier to carry out here. Do note that they won’t carry all Apple products such as the HomePod and Vision Pro.
The store also offers a creative initiative, ‘Today at Apple’, which offers exclusive free tech events such as photography with local rising artists and established voices in the creative community.
Are you excited about the store opening and will you be joining the insane queues that are sure to form?
