Mazda CX-8 Pricing Is Finally Here And The Competition Should Rightly Be Worried

That the Mazda CX-8 is here isn’t a surprise but its pricing however has been. Well, Mazda has finally let that cat out of the bag as well with an announcement regarding the seven-seater’s pricing and the competition should be very worried. You can refresh your memory of the CX-8 here.

You can have your CX-8 in four flavours; 2.5G 2WD Mid, 2.5G 2WD Mid Plus, 2.5G 2WD High and 2.2D 4WD High, the latter of which packs the formidable 2.2-litre turbodiesel with mountains of torque.

Pricing starts at RM179,960.40 for the 2.5G 2WD Mid and climbs to RM185,960.40 for the 2.5G 2WD Mid Plus before it breaches the RM200k mark for the 2.5G 2WD High at RM200,960.40. These three are powered by the 2.5-litre inline-four petrol engines without any forced induction.

The flagship of the range is the 2.2D 4WD High that sends all that torque to all four wheels. This is priced at RM217,722.80.

If you want your CX-8 in one of the three premium colours of Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, and Snowflake Pearl White, you’ll have to fork out an additional RM3,000 while the fabric seats of the 2.5G 2WD Mid and 2.5G 2WD Mid Plus can be swapped for leather pieces for an extra RM4,500.
