You might want to keep babies, small animals and anything smaller than a football away from the intake of Precision Turbo & Engine’s latest masterpiece as the 143mm intake might just swallow them up whole on the way to churning out the rated 5,500hp that might just shake the Earth on its orbit.

This 143mm ProStock Tractor Turbocharger isn’t for anything that’s classified as a car though. Unveiled at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in the United States of America, this monster is all for the mythical realm of tractor drag racing.

You’ll find a GEN2 CEA (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) compressor wheel in the middle with two-piece bearings. Monster power figures was the sole purpose of the turbo’s design and you should see tractors fitted with this to rip some wheelies off the start line.

Precision Turbos explains this baby-eater can be applied to high-performance drag racing as well as truck drag racing as well.

You know where this thing belongs? No, not your friend’s Honda Civic turbo project. JCB should strap this bad boy onto its record-holding world’s fastest tractor and have another go at raising the bar.

As entertaining as it would be, don’t expect any videos of tractors ploughing fields and cracking the Earth’s crust with this hanging off the engine’s side although farmers aren’t the most logical of people.

You’ll find it for sale during the third quarter of 2020. If you decide to fit this on your project car and make it work, you might be making more boost than brains but we’ll definitely be there to cheer you on.
