Lamborghini came out with the single-seater Egoista to celebrate its golden jubilee (that’s 50th anniversary for you heathens) but it wasn’t for sale. If your heart so desired a single-seater Raging Bull, you can now indulge in that for just a pinch over RM6,000 or so.

Blasphemy you say? No, it’s actually the Xiaomi Ninebot GoKart Pro Lamborghini Edition that’s got a top speed of 40kph (not a typo) and plenty of caveats.

Based on the existing Ninebot GoKart Pro, the special Lambo edition isn’t just a cosmetic special to steal our hard-earned money. No, we’ll gladly give Xiaomi our cold hard cash for this drift cart that takes plenty of inspiration from Lambos.

Although the mandatory decals and badges are there to remind you that you sort of own a Lambo, it also wears the iconic “Giallo Orion” shade of yellow straight from Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. There’s even some revised aero that includes a tall rear wing for downforce and a height-adjustable steering wheel with a Lamborghini Anima-inspired drive mode selector for the four driving modes available.

You’ll also be the proud owner of the first pure-electric Lambo as the Ninebot GoKart Pro features a 432Wh battery pack Xiaomi claims will do 62-laps of a 400-metre long circuit at a top speed of 40kph. Some simple calculations on our abacus gives it an average range of just under 25km so maybe you won’t want to actually drive it to Genting.

That Vmax was increased by 5kph over the boring regular Ninebot GoKart Pro. Maximum weight for the driver is rated at 100kg and the frame can be configured for drivers of different heights.

If 40kph in a cart might induce a code brown in your pants, you can use one of the four aforementioned driving modes to gradually acclimatise to the top speed.

Eco mode limits top speed to just 8kph; or just under a regular jogging pace. From there you can progress to Sport and Strada before graduating at Corsa that unleashes the full 40kph. There’s a digital speedo above the steering wheel to help you keep tabs of how fast imminent death is approaching.

To further emulate the feel of piloting a Raging Bull, the cart gets an audio system that plays the engine note from current Lambo models via speakers.

The icing on the cake must be the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) rear tyres that are basically drift-friendly, further accentuated by a handbrake that will help you kick that rear end out.
