Black Widow’ And Other Marvel Films Postponed AGAIN, So No MCU Movies In 2020

Just when we thought we could seek solace in movies during the pandemic, things just took a turn for the worse in the entertainment industry.

2020 has claimed our normal life thanks to COVID-19 and also some of our favourite heroes (read: Kobe Bryant and Chadwick Boseman) and now, it’s claiming the release of some of the highly anticipated films.

Marvel fans, this year will be the first year without any Marvel Cinematic Universe films since 2009 as ‘Black Widow’ has been postponed once again to 2021.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Black Widow’s standalone film will now debut on 7 May 2021 and two other Marvel films have also been pushed back.

The ‘Eternals’ will now premiere on 5 November 2021, which has been postponed twice from its initial date of February 2021 and November 2020.

‘Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ also suffers the same fate as it has been pushed to 9 July 2021 instead of debuting a few months earlier.

‘Eternals’ star Kumail Nanjiani who plays Kingo in the movie assured fans that Marvel made “the right and responsible decision” and promises that “it’ll be worth the wait!”.

So folks, it will be a non-MCU year for us Marvel fans in 2020. Let’s hope that things will get better soon so that they won’t have to postpone these films anymore.
