Bryan Adams has had a 35-plus-year music career, helping to make him one of the world’s most lasting and successful artists with worldwide sales of more than 65 million albums. In 2014 and 2015, Adams celebrated the 30th anniversary of Reckless – which boasted hits like Summer of 69, Heaven and Run to You.

If you are a Bryan Adams fan, you will be pleased to know that he is heading to Malaysia for his The Get Up Tour next year! The 56-year-old singer’s concert will be held at Malawati Indoor Stadium, Shah Alam on January 21 at 8.30pm. This world tour is in support of his 13th studio album, Get Up, which was released in October of 2015.
Bryan Adams has had an illustrious career and also released a covers album, Tracks of My Years, which did include one original, She Knows Me, co-written with Jim Vallance, his longtime songwriting partner whom he met in the 70s. Adams also directed two Get Up videos, so far, Brand New Day starring Helena Bonham Carter and You Belong to Me. The photographer who has shot everyone from Mick Jagger and Amy Winehouse to war veterans and The Queen of England, also shot the album art for Get Up. Adams has worked with some of the biggest names in music, from an exceptional and eclectic stable of artists including Bonnie Raitt and Gene Simmons. He has even shot fashion campaigns for Guess, Hugo Boss and Fred Perry.
The singer/songwriter is the recipient of three Academy Award nominations for Best Original Song, a Grammy Award, two Golden Globe Awards for Best Original Song, an American Music Award, BMI and ASCAP songwriter awards, two Ivor Novello songwriting awards and many Juno Awards from his native Canada.

If you were a teenager in the 1980s, there is a good chance that your first slow dance was to a song by Bryan Adams. There is also a chance you rocked out hard to his hits like Cuts Like a Knife or Somebody. This Canadian rocker with the true blue American sound knows how to do it all, and his latest album is an astonishing step forward in a constantly developing career that shows no signs of stopping or slowing down. Adams is going back to the basics, putting the focal point on three key components: the artist, the guitar, and his muse. There is an earnestness to Adams. His new record has, he says, a carefree feel to it, but he’s keen not to focus on the fact it is his first original studio album in seven years.
