Last month, j-hope announced his special album and documentary on his birthday. Now, yet another BTS member who is carrying out their military service will be giving Armies more content to look forward to in their absence. Suga surprised fans when he personally announced the release of his new feature film “Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ THE MOVIE” on 6 March at midnight KST.

The film which will arrive in theatres and IMAX worldwide on 10 & 13 April will feature footage from his encore concert from August 2023.

On April 21 2023, Suga, who is also known as Agust D, released his debut studio album D-Day which received critical acclaim and sold 1,072,311 copies on the first day, breaking the previous record for the most impressive first-day sales for any album by a solo artist in Hanteo history. He also held a worldwide concert tour in support of the album (sadly skipping out on Malaysia). 25 concerts were held in 10 cities, which captivated a total audience of 290,000 throughout its run.

Energy and excitement

According to the movie’s website, fans will be able to ‘experience the pulsating energy and excitement of “‘D-DAY’ THE FINAL” on screen, everything from the exquisite sounds traversing the boundary between “21st Century Pop Icon” BTS member SUGA and solo artist Agust D, electrifying performance, explosive energy, to special duet stages featuring fellow BTS members RM, Jimin, and Jung Kook.’

Happily, GSC has confirmed that the movie will be heading to its screens in 2D and IMAX, although further details such as ticketing prices and if it will only be available in selected locations have not been announced.
