The current COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc on the entertainment industry, with big cinema releases being postponed and filming of all your favourite TV series being postponed.

And the latest TV series to be affected by the global pandemic is none other than the 'FRIENDS' reunion.

Cue heartbreaks.

But it will be available soon

According to a report by entertainment site Vulture, the highly-anticipated reunion special has been delayed and will not be available at the launch of HBO Max due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report revealed that the special episode, which was reportedly set to be released in early May in conjunction with the launch of the streaming site, has not been filmed yet.

However, while the May launch has been postponed, a spokesman of the production said it will be coming to the streaming platform “soon” (although they did not mention how soon is soon).

Don't worry, all of them are still reuniting.
The cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer have confirmed that they will be participating in the reunion when it is safe to do so.

For their 'troubles', they were expected to receive a mouth-watering US$2.5 million (RM10.9 million) for taking part in the special.

Sigh, now we would have to wait a little bit longer to catch up with our favourite 'FRIENDS' character, Joey Tribbiani.
