Have you ever wondered if Marvel Cinematic Universe stars can appear in DC Comics films and vice versa?

Is there a possibility that they could cross each other’s paths and be a Marvel superhero by day, and a DC villain by night? Well, the idea might sound epic but there’s also a possibility it’ll confuse the hell out of others, especially younger fans.

One can dream, a beautiful superhero dream...
But before you daydream about the most epic superhero movie of all-time starring your favourite film stars from both comic franchises, the question remains; are they able to do so?

Well, our mighty ‘God of Thunder’ Thor, or better known as Chris Hemsworth, may have the answer.

During a Supanova convention in Australia, Hemsworth joked that it was ‘illegal’ for Marvel stars to appear in any DC films.

The 33-year-old's statement kidna confirmed that Marvel stars are contractually restricted from starring in any films from their rivals DC Comics.

Well, the dream was good while it lasted.

But since Chris Evans has confirmed that he'll be retiring his role as Captain America after the Avengers 4 premieres in 2019, hey who knows, he might be starring in a DC film after all.

As for fans of Fox’s X-Men universe, it seems that the prohibition does not apply to them.

So, cheers to that!

Josh Brolin, who plays Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, will star opposite of Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming Deadpool sequel as supervillain Cable.

Can't wait for the next Deadpool!
Deadpool 2 is slated for release on June 1, 2018.

Well, we hope one day the stars from each comic universe will have the chance to appear alongside in an epic superhero movie.
