When you try your best but you don’t succeed? You try again and maybe, you’ll be glorious in time? That’s exactly what happened with major event organizers LiveNation; now they’re finally bringing Coldplay to Malaysia.

Coldplay, currently one of the biggest British rock bands in the world, has an enormous fanbase in Malaysia. Popular for hit songs “Yellow”, “Fix You” and “Viva La Vida” in the early 2000s, Coldplay is still topping the charts with songs from Music of the Spheres album, namely “Higher Power” and “My Universe”.

In recent years, Coldplay fans flew around the world just to experience their favourite band’s concert. But with LiveNation’s recent announcement, A Sky Full of Stars is now closer to home.

LiveNation recently announced the date of the concert, which will be on November 22 and held at National Stadium Bukit Jalil.

Currently, the stadium can hold up to 85,000 people in attendance. If the band manages to sell all the tickets, then the concert will be the most attended music event at a stadium, beating Siti Nurhaliza at 77,000 tickets during a concert in 2004.

This will be Coldplay’s first time in Malaysia and hopefully, the first of many as well!

Tickets go live on May 18 but CIMB cardholders can access the ticketing system a day earlier on the 17th starting from 10AM Malaysian time.
