In brightest day, in blackest night, the Green Lantern remains as one of the greatest superheroes in comic book history.

We know that some DC fans are still upset over the film adaptation of the comic book starring Ryan Reynolds that flopped at the box office, but this upcoming news may just give you a ray of emerald green hope.

According to Forbes, WarnerMedia Entertainment has announced that a ‘Green Lantern’ TV series will be produced exclusively for the upcoming streaming platform, HBO Max.

The series seems to be in good hands as it will be produced by Greg Berlanti, who has an impressive resume producing and overseeing other DC Comics live-action adaptation on TV such as ‘Arrow’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Supergirl’, ‘Black Lightning’, ‘Batwoman’, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’, ‘Titans’, ‘Doom Patrol', and ‘Stargirl’.

Before Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds was the Green Lantern.
Besides ‘Green Lantern’, HBO Max will also be producing another series titled ‘Strange Adventure’ featuring standalone tales set within the DC Comics world with a variety of different characters which is probably similar to Marvel’s ‘What If…?’, streaming soon on Disney+.

No word yet on who will star in it or when it will premiere but do you think Ryan Reynolds should reprise the role?
