Boy, looks like some people really hate "Despacito".

It's been an up and down week for rappers Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi.

Earlier this week, the music video for their infectious single "Despacito" became the first ever music video to hit five billion views on YouTube.

But on Tuesday, the pair woke up to news that the record-breaking video had been hacked.

According to a report by The Independent UK, viewers were greeted with a still image of a group of masked men in orange jumpsuit aiming guns at the camera.

Didn't know
The said still image is reportedly taken from the Netflix series 'Money Heist' and is not part of the music video.

(By the way, if you haven't already, you should watch 'Money Heist'; it's absolutely awesome!)

When viewers attempted to press play, it said the video was not available, much to the horror of millions of "Despacito" fans worldwide.

Not only that, several popular music videos belonging to singers such as Shakira, Drake, Selena Gomez, Adele and Taylor Swift also reportedly fell victim to the hack.

Real-time look at
Two hackers, who identified themselves as Kuroi’sh and Prosox, took responsibility for the hack. They also allegedly wrote "Fee Palestine" underneath the hacked video.

BBC News stumbled upon a tweet purportedly written by one of the hackers saying:

Anyhoo, if you're wondering what happened to your beloved "Despacito" music video, worry not: Vevo, the YouTube account that hosts popular music videos, reuploaded the original music video after they took it down briefly following the hack.

The five billion views remain untouched, so yes, "Despacito" still holds the record for the most viewed video on the streaming site.

Vevo told The Independent UK that the security breach has been contained and they are "continuing to investigate the source of the breach".

Let's all pray that they don't hack Datuk Vida's "I Am Me" music video because that would be devastating!
