Disney’s highly anticipated film about the Chinese warrior ‘Mulan’ has gotten fans into an emotional rollercoaster this year.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film had to be postponed to July from its initial release date of March. It was then postponed again to August.

But all the postponement didn’t stop there – Disney then decided to postpone it once again indefinitely month.

Well, after the rain comes the sun, as Disney finally has the final word on the film’s fate.

According to Entertainment Weekly, ‘Mulan’ is set to meet fans on Disney+ on 4 September 2020.

However, the movie will be available only on rental basis for US$29.99 (RM125.97).

‘Mulan’ will be available in most Disney+ markets including the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and select countries in Western Europe.

What about us?

We know what you're thinking: but we don't have Disney+ in Malaysia, so does that mean we can't watch it?

Well, luckily for us, Disney has decided to be nice to us as they will be releasing 'Mulan' in countries where cinemas are back in operations – including Malaysia!

Theatre operators in Malaysia, TGV Cinemas and GSC, have also confirmed that ‘Mulan’ will tentatively debut on 3 September.



The wait is over, Malaysian fans! Just a few weeks more to go, and let’s hope Disney won’t postpone it once again.
