Following the recent announcement that the second installation of Fantastic Beasts has begun filming, comes another *magical* news that’ll probably send you Potterheads into pandemonium. So, you might want to sit down for this.

Well, we know that you’ve always secretly wanted J.K. Rowling to come up with more Harry Potter books, right? Well, you might just get your wish - without the use of any magical potions or spells.

The acclaimed writer will reportedly release TWO freaking new Harry Potter books in conjunction with the 20th anniversary celebration as well as the exhibition of the series to be held at the British Museum.

Yes. TWO. Books. For. Real. *Starts hyperventilating*

Can you feel the excitement?!
And you don’t even have to wait that long or ask Hermoine’s time turner necklace for help as the release date is closer than you think – 20 October.

The first book will be titled Harry Potter: A History of Magic, and it promises to take readers on a “fascinating journey through the subjects studied at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry – from Alchemy and Potions classes through to Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures.”

The second one, Harry Potter: A Journey Through the History of Magic will delve into the history of magic involving unicorns and ancient witchcraft as well as unseen sketches and manuscript pages from J.K. Rowling and magical illustrations from Jim Kay.

The books will be priced at £30.00 (RM167.55) and £12.99 (RM72.55) respectively, so time to save up some Galleons!

No word on whether the books will be released on the same date in Malaysia, but let’s just cross our wands and hope for the best.
