GSC Introduces The Country's First 270-Degree Cinema Experience
Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) recently introduced the country's first 270-degree theatre experience, ScreenX, at 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
This new theatre experience promises audiences a new dimension of terror, just in time for their return to the town of Derry in 'IT Chapter Two'.
We got to watch the premier of 'IT Chapter 2' at ScreenX, and we have to say the experience was quite unique.

Was it scarier? We can't say because we didn't find the movie scary but it was definitely an experience worth trying.

Positioned as a premium, panoramic cinema experience, ScreenX utilises a proprietary system to expand key scenes throughout the movie onto the left and right-side walls of the auditorium.
Besides the 270-degree screen format, GSC’s ScreenX hall also features eco-leather seating that is plusher and more comfortable than a regular hall.
Tickets to ScreenX is priced at RM29.

"The response we have received to ScreenX since we opened the hall has been extremely positive and we are sure that it will continue to excite audiences with its immersive format, which complements our other next-generation cinema technologies,” he said.

"This innovative technology allows the audience to go beyond the frame of the traditional movie screen, and we believe our alliance will provide opportunities to revolutionise the cinematic landscape of Malaysia,” he added.
While this new technology is currently only available in GSC 1 Utama, ScreenX will be soon making its way to two other locations in 2020.
What are you waiting for, guys? The weekend is here, so maybe go check it out?
