It has been months since Disney announced a 'Lizzie McGuire' reboot and now that Disney+ has officially launched in the US, the anticipation is building up.

We’ve had a few teasers here and there from Disney and Hilary Duff herself, but we’re still in the dark if her friends and other characters from the original sitcom will appear in the show as well.

Well, the cat’s finally out of the bag because Lizzie’s best friend, Gordo, who she friendzoned for years will be in the show!

Hilary recently shared a photo of her and actor Adam Lamberg on her Instagram with the caption “I feel so basic saying something that’s been shouted at me almost my whole life buuuut......hey now, hey now”.

Yassss!
"Gordo was an essential piece of the puzzle to what made the original 'Lizzie McGuire' so authentic and beloved," Duff said in a statement.

"I couldn’t imagine the series without him. I can’t wait for fans to see what he’s up to 15 years later and how he fits into Lizzie’s adult world."

Of course, fans (including us) went wild after learning Gordo will return into Lizzie’s life (and the TV screen) once again.

Here’s what other fans had to say about his return.

Now the whole world is waiting on Lalaine, who plays Miranda, to complete the trio. Will she be back? Let’s hope it happens!
