From athletes to head of states, the deadly virus infected more and more people around the globe as time went on and the latest Hollywood A-lister to succumb to it is Idris Elba.
Showed no symptoms
A few hours ago on Tuesday (17 March), Elba shared the news via his Twitter account via a short video.The ‘Thor’ star said that he got himself tested although he showed no symptoms after finding out that he had been exposed to someone who was tested positive recently.
This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing ???? No panic. pic.twitter.com/Lg7HVMZglZ

His wife however, has yet to take the test but is doing okay.
Both of them have decided to isolate themselves since they found out that they had been in contact with someone who tested positive with COVID-19.
“Now is the time to start thinking about social distancing, washing your hands. Beyond that there are people out there who aren't showing symptoms, and that can easily spread it,” the British actor added.
“So now is the time to be really vigilant about washing your hands, and keeping your distance.”
Fans and celebrity friends have responded to the news by sending him well wishes.
