Remember the heartthrob that starred in the iconic 2009 film ‘500 Days of Summer’ – Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

Well, the actor has done some other cool stuff over the years, and now, he’s working on a project that may require your help, specifically for Malaysians.

Looking for contributors

The ‘Inception’ star recently posted on his Facebook page that he’s looking for anyone who could speak Malay for his project via the HitRecord app, which was founded by him.

Not too long after that, he posted that he’s also looking for “musicians, singers, rappers, and artists of all kinds to help create a song inspired by my upcoming Netflix movie, ‘Project Power’”.

And if Netflix uses your music or song, you will be paid for it, so it’s a win-win for both parties.

“We want to create a song together with everybody all over the world for this Netflix movie ‘Project Power’, which asks the question – what is your power?” the 39-year-old actor said in a video.

Excited Malaysians flooded his Facebook posts with some recommending themselves and others suggesting our local talents.

It is unknown as to why Joseph has a sudden interest in Malaysia and our national language but hey, this is definitely the best opportunity for us to share our beautiful language and culture to the world.
