Kim Kardashian was holding back tears as she described the traumatic encounter when robbers broke into her apartment and held her at gunpoint in Paris last October.

The reality TV star returned to the spotlight on The Ellen DeGeneres Show for the first time in six months following the incident.

After stepping away from the public eye and reflecting for several months, Kardashian said she felt that it had changed her into a completely different person, in a good way.

An emotional Kim Kardashian described the robbery with tears in her eyes.
“I know this sounds crazy, but I know that was meant to happen to me. I don't want to start crying, but I feel like that was so meant to happen to me,” she said.

“I'm such a different person. It was meant to happen to me. I really feel like things happen in your life to teach you things.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star admitted that she has always been materialistic and flashy, and this Paris episode had taught her an important life lesson.

“I’m not here to show off the way that I used to. It’s just not who I am anymore,” she added.
One of the things she said that really stood out was how happy she was that she will be raising her kids as the person she is now.

Kim Kardashian is in some way grateful for the Paris ordeal.
Showing up in a simple dress with zero jewellery, you can really tell that there was an air of difference in the way she spoke during the interview.
