Lee Chong Wei’s Biopic Set To Receive A Malaysia Book Of Records Recognition

Fast forward to December last year, the trailer for the Chong Wei’s biography finally dropped and it looks very promising. They’ve also managed to find a guy that looks a lot like Chong Wei when he was younger!

Local actor Rosyam Nor has been entrusted with the role of one of the most important people in Chong Wei’s career – Datuk Misbun Sidek.

Well, we all know that Chong Wei has been smashing records on badminton courts and high-profile tournaments, but soon, he’ll also be breaking records in the entertainment industry.

The movie, aptly titled Lee Chong Wei: Rise Of The Legend, will premiere in cinemas nationwide on 15 March. It's grand premiere will be held on 9 March at the 87,500-capacity Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

The early premiere will become the biggest movie gala in Malaysia’s entertainment history as it is expected to draw 30,000 fans to catch the screening on a gigantic LED screen – a great feat which we feel deserves a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records.
