Victor Timely actor Jonathan Majors, has met an untimely demise as Marvel's slated big bad, Kang.

The decision for Marvel to fire Majors comes after the actor was found guilty of assault and harassment charges. Majors was arrested in March and his PR firm The Lede Company and his managers at Entertainment 360 had already dropped the actor.

The state of his character in the MCU

So far, Jonathan Majors has appeared as a variant of Kang, Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Victor Timely and He Who Remains in Loki Season 2.

While Marvel has revealed plans for Kang (and variants of Kang) to be the MCU's next big bad to replace Grimace Thanos, the character has so far been quashed in all of his appearances:Loki Season 2 also seemed to hint that the Kang variants weren't so much a threat, but simply another case that they're observing. Perhaps Marvel saw the writing on the wall earlier than any of us did and made contingencies so that the character Kang could be dropped at a moment's notice.

Who should be the next big bad of the MCU?

Personally, we'd love to see a villain that wasn't bent on world destruction or had a singular blind focus that invariably leads to world destruction.

Maybe they kind a villain whose methods were more insidious, whose machinations weren't so obvious. Though we admit watching the final beatdown of Thanos got us cheering in the theatre, we doubt that moment could ever be recreated.

Even Spider-Man: No Way Home's five-villain reunion couldn't elicit the same ovation during the final showdown.
