A few days ago, Cinema Online reported that actress Raja Ilya will be going under the knife in order to help her prepare for her role in an upcoming secret Marvel movie.
News of her involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MVU) movie franchise broke earlier this year when she confirmed that she was offered a secret role in an undisclosed Marvel project.
It is said that she will be flying to Hollywood at the end of the year to begin filming.
The 32-year-old actress says that the surgery is essential if she wants to be seen “at par with other international stars.”
“International film companies are a bit hesitant when it comes to casting Asians especially those who are Muslims. Because of this golden opportunity and role offered, I am willing to take the risk,” Raja Ilya told Malay daily BH Online.
“They like my skin tone and want me to keep it as it is. Although it’s not compulsory for me to do any surgery, I still feel the need to change my appearance a little to be on the same level as other international stars.”

She added that since she’ll be working on an international film, she’s willing to make sacrifices to ensure that everything is in order, including her appearance, as she will be representing Malaysia in the eyes of the world.
Her transformation to improve her looks will reportedly be sponsored by a local clinic.
However, news of her "look-enhancing" surgery received wasn't received very well by Malaysians, which prompted her to issue another statement.
She told BH Online that the surgical procedure in question is to get rid of the nodules on her body. Apart from that, she will be undergoing an Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) which helps to produce body muscles rapidly.
Raja Ilya will be in America from December this year and throughout 2018 for the production of the movie.
Wonder what movie will she be starring in - but most importantly with who. The only information we know so far is she’ll have to don a similar costume to Wonder Woman’s.

Guess we’ll have to wait to find out. All the best, Raja Ilya!
