Anyway, the brain behind the viral song, Pikotaro, is back and this time, he brought a new song about the Coronavirus with him.
'Wash! Laugh! Pray!'
The Japanese comic, whose real name is Daimaou Kosaka, recently released a new update for his 2016 hit for the COVID-19 titled "Pray for People And Peace (PPAP) 2020".“In a hurry, I made a new version of PPAP.
“What I want to tell the whole world is ... Wash! Laugh! Pray!," he wrote in a Tweet.

As one can expect, the new song is no longer about pen and apples and pineapples, it is now about hand and soap and staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
To top it all off, Pikotaro even donned his trademark animal print costume in the new music video.
