The Scariest Horror Movie Of All Time, 'The Exorcist', Is Reportedly Getting A Reboot
When it comes to horror movies, 'The Exorcist' has to be on the top of the list.
Not only did the movie, which came out in 1973, spooked millions of fans worldwide, it also won two Oscar awards.
And because filmmakers just can't leave classic movies alone, a reboot of the move is reportedly being worked on.
Entertainment site Deadline reported that Morgan Creek Entertainment, the studio behind the movie, is reportedly already working on rebooting 'The Exorcist'.
Scheduled for a 2021 release

According to the report, the film could see a release in 2021.
The news of the reboot came in a paragraph at the end of the report, which said: "Current Morgan Creek projects include Stay Tuned at AMC, with a planned theatrical reboot of 'The Exorcist' in the works for 2021."
Surprisingly, the news came as a bit of a shock as 1) the studio claimed in 2015 that they would never remake 'The Exorcist' and 2) no other details were released regarding the reboot.
If this indeed is the case, this would be the first movie in 'The Exorcist' series since 2005's 'Dominion: Prequel To The Exorcist'.

The movie is based on a novel by William Peter Blatty, and is said to be based on a true story of a months-long exorcism performed on a 14-year-old boy.
Let's hope they do not mess this up, because the last thing we need is another subpar horror movie.
